“Paris breathes!” - With this motto the capital of France initiates one day (18.09.22) on which only non-motorized vehicles are allowed in certain streets of Paris such as the famous Champs d’Élysée.

I think it is a great way to raise awareness to the daily traffic which causes not only noise but also the release of vast amounts of air pollutants - a danger not only for us humans but also for plants and the city wildlife.

Bei unserem Stopp in Avignon haben wir dann in Nimes das Europe Direct Centre besucht - und sollen schön grüßen! Sie wussten gar nicht viel vom Europa Ticket, waren aber sehr begeistert. Wir haben lange mit den freundlichen Menschen dort geredet und viel gelernt. Auf der Pinnwand kann man sehen, wohin Menschen vom Europe Direct Center entsandt wurden, um Erasmus und Freiwilligenaufenthalte zu verbringen.

Endlich!

Statt Flugzeug nur mit den umweltfreundlichen Zügen unterwegs.

Zuerst ging es in die Niederlande - Man kann so viel Neues vom Nachbarn lernen (von sicheren Radwegen bis zu digitalen Ticketkontrolle). Letztlich tat auch die Erholung am Scheveningen Beach Den Haag sehr gut.
